What is actually in a CD70 conversion kit?
A conversion kit is a matched drivetrain, not just a motor in a box. The parts have to agree on voltage, phase current, hall/sensorless commutation, wheel size and connector pinout. Supplying them as one engineered set is the main reason to buy from a manufacturer rather than assembling components from several retail listings.
| Component | What we specify | Why it matters on a CD70 |
|---|---|---|
| Hub motor | Spoke or cast wheel hub, 1000–3000W, 48V / 60V / 72V | Laced into the original rim size so the frame, chain line and brakes stay usable. |
| FOC sine-wave controller | Programmable current limits, hall + sensorless support, 48–72V | Quiet starts, less heat, and tunable throttle response for a light 70cc frame. |
| Battery pack | 48–72V, lead-acid or LiFePO4, matched BMS | Determines real range and how much weight sits in the frame cradle. |
| Harness & controls | Phase/hall wiring, throttle, brake cut-offs, display, charger | Correct pinout and weather sealing prevent the majority of field failures. |
| Fitment hardware | Torque arms, cradle, spacers, brake adapters | Absorbs axle torque and keeps the wheel aligned under braking. |

Choose a kit tier for your CD70
These are configuration tiers, not a retail price list. They map to the three electrification packages shown on our petrol bike electrification page.
Essential · 1000–1500W
48V / 60V
Solo rider, flat urban routes, short daily distance. Lightest package, lowest battery cost, simplest fitment. Typically paired with a 1500W motor and a 45A-class sine-wave controller.
Best for: riders replacing short petrol commutes and delivery pilots testing feasibility.
Daily · 2000W
60V / 72V
Adds thermal headroom for a pillion passenger, stop-start traffic and summer ambient temperatures. The usual choice for commercial delivery fleets where uptime matters more than minimum upfront cost.
Best for: ride-hailing, courier and workshop resale programmes.
Heavy duty · 3000W
72V
High-torque build for hilly terrain, heavier loads or sustained higher speeds. Requires a battery with adequate continuous discharge and a properly braced cradle.
Best for: fleet trials, hilly districts, cargo variants.
For the equivalent CG125 build, see the CG125 electric conversion kit. For a component-by-component budget, see 70cc conversion kit prices in Pakistan.
Fitment checklist for a 70cc frame
CD70-family bikes were produced in many model years and under several local brand names. Measure the actual bike before ordering — this checklist is the same one our Lahore team works through with workshops.
| Check | Typical CD70 baseline | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel / rim size | 17-inch spoked rims on most CD70 variants | Measure rim diameter and spoke count; confirm the hub can be laced to the original rim. |
| Rear dropout | Narrow motorcycle fork spacing | Inside width, axle diameter, torque-arm clearance and chain/sprocket alignment. |
| Brakes | Drum brakes front and rear | Whether a disc adapter is required and whether the brake plate clears the motor cover. |
| Battery space | Small frame triangle / under-seat area | Usable volume and centre of gravity; lead-acid packs are considerably heavier than LiFePO4. |
| Controller location | Under seat or side panel | Airflow for cooling and protection from monsoon water ingress. |
| Electrical | 12V original lighting circuit | DC-DC converter for lights/horn; do not power 12V accessories from a single battery tap. |
Verify before you buy: rim sizes, dropout widths and brake plates differ between model years and locally assembled variants. A fitment measurement with photographs avoids a kit that cannot be bolted on. Exact dimensions are confirmed against your bike, not assumed from the model name.
What a conversion costs and when it pays back
Pakistani retail listings observed in November 2026 advertised hub motors at roughly PKR 26,800 for 1500W and PKR 44,900–65,000 for 3000W 72V units, while complete workshop-installed packages were advertised in tiers around PKR 85,000 / 150,000 / 250,000. These are public market reference points, not our prices — as a manufacturer we quote complete kits, samples and container orders on request.
The economic case comes from running cost. With petrol around PKR 275 per litre and a 70cc bike averaging 50–60 km/L, fuel costs about PKR 4.6–5.5 per km. Electricity for an equivalent light electric motorcycle is commonly a fraction of that, even after charging losses. At 1,000 km per month, the fuel saving alone is roughly PKR 4,000–5,000 per month before maintenance savings from removing oil changes, spark plugs, clutch and gearbox wear.
| Monthly distance | Petrol cost @ PKR 5/km | Electric cost @ PKR 1.2/km | Monthly saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| 600 km (light commuting) | PKR 3,000 | PKR 720 | PKR 2,280 |
| 1,000 km (daily commute) | PKR 5,000 | PKR 1,200 | PKR 3,800 |
| 1,800 km (delivery use) | PKR 9,000 | PKR 2,160 | PKR 6,840 |

From measurement to first ride
- Measure and photograph the bike — rim, dropout, brake plate, battery space. Send them to the Lahore team with the intended use case and daily distance.
- Confirm the specification — motor power and winding, controller current, battery chemistry and capacity, harness pinout, display and charger.
- Sample or pilot order — evaluate one build before committing to a fleet or distributor quantity. Controller parameters can be tuned for local throttle feel and load.
- Workshop installation — lace the hub, fit torque arms and cradle, route and seal the harness, verify brake cut-offs and DC-DC output.
- Commissioning and support — hall angle learning, current limits, thermal check under load; spare parts and warranty handled through the factory and Lahore team.
For distributors and workshops, the conversion kit importer programme covers MOQ, OEM branding, CKD/SKD supply and after-sales parts.
CD70 conversion — frequently asked questions
How much does a CD70 electric conversion kit cost in Pakistan?
Publicly listed retail motor prices in Pakistan in November 2026 ranged from about PKR 26,800 for a 1500W hub motor to PKR 44,900–65,000 for a 3000W 72V unit. A complete kit adds the controller, battery, harness, display, charger and fitting. We quote complete kits and bulk orders on request rather than publishing a fixed retail price; ask for a landed-cost quotation including freight and duties.
Can a Honda CD70 be converted to electric without cutting the frame?
Bolt-in conversions are possible when the hub motor is laced into a rim that matches the original wheel size and the battery cradle uses existing mounting points. CD70 frames vary by model year, so rim diameter, dropout width, brake type and battery clearance must be measured before ordering. Send photographs and measurements to the Lahore team for a fitment check.
What motor power is right for a 70cc motorcycle conversion?
For a solo rider on flat city routes, 1000–1500W at 48V–60V is usually sufficient. For a pillion passenger, hilly routes or commercial delivery use, 2000–3000W at 60V–72V gives better acceleration and sustained thermal headroom. Match the controller continuous current to the motor and battery BMS, not just the peak wattage figure.
How far does a converted CD70 travel on one charge?
Range depends mainly on usable battery capacity and riding style. A 60V 20Ah pack stores about 1.2 kWh; at 25–35 Wh/km for a light motorcycle that gives roughly 35–50 km of real-world range. Lead-acid packs deliver less usable capacity than LiFePO4 of the same nominal rating, especially in hot weather.
Should I choose lead-acid or lithium batteries for a CD70 conversion in Pakistan?
Lead-acid is cheaper up front but heavier, has fewer cycles and loses usable capacity as temperatures rise. LiFePO4 costs more initially but tolerates 45–50°C summers better, cycles several times longer and keeps voltage flatter under load. For daily commercial use, lifecycle cost usually favours LiFePO4.
Do you sell single kits or only bulk orders?
Wuxi Sine Power manufactures motors, controllers and kits and supplies both sample orders for evaluation and bulk orders for distributors, workshops and fleet operators. OEM branding, controller parameter tuning and CKD/SKD supply can be arranged. Contact the Lahore team for sample lead time and MOQ.
What warranty and spare parts support is available?
Warranty is 12–24 months depending on model. Because we manufacture the motor and controller, hall sensors, phase wiring, connectors, bearings and controller boards can be supplied as separate spare parts instead of replacing the whole assembly.
How long does installation take?
A workshop with the correct rim, brackets and wiring harness can typically complete a straightforward conversion in one working day. First-of-a-kind builds take longer because dropout spacing, brake alignment and controller tuning need to be verified on the actual bike.
